Short Rows Are A Curse

I've decided that I hate toe-up socks. I've known this for a while, but I just had to reaffirm the belief. I have yet to knit a short row toe or heel correctly the first time through. In fact, it takes me a good 2 or 3 days in order to get it right.

It's all the stop somewhere along the row and knit or purl some odd number of stitches together and then turn and then slip a stitch (maybe) and the knit or purl along the row until you've gotten to another random point on the row and repeat.

It's too much for my already crammed brain to handle.

The Falling Leaves sock #1 is past the heel. Don't ask me how long it took me to knit the heel. It's embaressing. I'm knitting up the leg and I'm TOTALLY not looking forward to the second sock.
