The Checkered Blanket

Back during the last Christmas break, I started a pretty big project. I decided to knit an afghan. Knitting in a raised squared pattern, I knit scarf-like strips of alternating cream and navy blue square. I finished knitting it sometime in February and then let it sit in my room as I gave up trying to figure out to sew it all together. At the beginning of August, I decided to finally give it a try. Lying it all out on the living room floor, I discovered how to sew it together nicely. After doing all the horrid sewing and then all the horrid fringing, I finially finished the Checkered Blanket this evening. Pictures to follow tomorrow.
